In   2011,   the   global   petfood   market   (including   snacks   and   treats)   was   worth   $58.6   billion   and   is predicted grow to $74.8 billion in 2017 (Transparency Market Research July 2013). However, nothing in life is constant and we all face change that presents opportunities and threats. For the petfood industry opportunities and threats exist around globalisation, sustainability, speed to market, consumer awareness, demographics, customer value and innovation. How we respond to these challenges will influence survival and growth in the 21 st  Century and we must continue to evolve, become more efficient and innovate through continuous improvement and innovation. The 1 st  Nordic Pet Food Seminar (Stavanger, 17-18 November 2015) will feature speakers who will present topics on the theme “Fit for the future - Helping your pet food business grow in the 21st Century”.
